The Best Alternative Apps to Everything in Adobe Creative Cloud. It’d be hard to be a creative professional and not have heard the drama around Adobe’s move to subscriptions with Creative Cloud‘s release.

The Best Alternative Apps to Everything in Adobe Creative Cloud

We’ve covered the good and bad of the move to subscriptions, and even wrote an Open Letter to Adobe about the changes. Creative Cloud has many good things — it’s even cheaper than buying Master Collection and upgrading every time — and the upgraded apps have a lot of nice new features. There’s even the value-add of font and file sync. But, if you want to own your apps, or not have to pay for upgrades and new features you don’t want, though, it’s hard to see the upside to Adobe’s new move to a subscription-only system. The good thing is, Adobe’s got more competition for its apps than ever before, especially on the Mac. Photoshop Photoshop — the app name that became a verb, much to Adobe’s chagrin — is to graphics editing what Microsoft Word is to document editing. Overview of learning styles. Many people recognize that each person prefers different learning styles and techniques.

Overview of learning styles

Learning styles group common ways that people learn. Everyone has a mix of learning styles. Some people may find that they have a dominant style of learning, with far less use of the other styles. Others may find that they use different styles in different circumstances. There is no right mix. Using multiple learning styles and multiple intelligences for learning is a relatively new approach. By recognizing and understanding your own learning styles, you can use techniques better suited to you. The Seven Learning Styles Visual (spatial):You prefer using pictures, images, and spatial understanding.

Why Learning Styles? Your learning styles have more influence than you may realize. Research shows us that each learning style uses different parts of the brain. For example: Visual: The occipital lobes at the back of the brain manage the visual sense. MYP: From principles into practice. The “Inquiry” section of the MYP unit planner identifies the purpose of the unit to ensure its alignment with MYP philosophy and requirements.

MYP: From principles into practice

The components of this section of the MYP unit planner are: concepts, global contexts, statement of inquiry, inquiry questions, subject-group objectives, summative assessment and ATL. Concepts Key concepts The MYP identifies 16 key concepts to be explored across the curriculum. These key concepts, shown in Table 2, represent understandings that reach beyond the eight MYP subject groups from which they are drawn. Table 2 MYP key concepts Teachers use key concepts from their own subject group(s)—as well as key concepts from other subject groups—to plan disciplinary and interdisciplinary units of work.

The following broad descriptions apply across subject groups, and MYP subject-group guides suggest further subject-specific understandings. Inquiry into MYP key concepts will further develop (and lead to debate on) the meaning of these significant ideas. The World's Largest Library Catalog. VPAA 167752 7. Effective E-mail Communication. What this handout is about This handout is intended to help students, faculty, and University professionals learn to communicate more effectively using e-mail.

Effective E-mail Communication

It can help you determine when e-mail is and is not an efficient way of communicating and write e-mail that successfully conveys your message to your intended audience. Background Although e-mail is a valuable communication tool, its widespread use in academic and business settings has introduced some new challenges for writers. Because it is a relatively new form of communication, basic social conventions for writing and responding to e-mail are still being worked out. So—how do you know when sending an e-mail is the most effective way of getting your message across? When is e-mail the appropriate form of communication to use? Funding_resources2014.pdf.
