City Mission Society of Boston. "A Lift Up" “A Lift Up” (ALU) identifies and assists women with young children who are in danger of losing their housing.
Using a variety of research-tested strategies to enable low-income families to move out of poverty, ALU interrupts the cycle of homelessness so as to allow families to stay in their homes and not suffer the disruption of homelessness. We provide financial assistance, resource referrals, case management, and skills training to help families maintain housing stability. ALU is a two-year program that supports women in achieving goals that they set for themselves through individualized service plans, case management, referrals to community resources, and advocacy.
