This collection was produced during a training session in an American camp in Afghanistan. Far from the activity of the shooting ranges and explosions, I strided along the area looking for other soldiers. I first encountered them playing basketball, bodybuilding or just sitting, far away from the restlessness of missions. I then took pictures of them from a close point of view, and then further away. I busted these synthetic faces looking for a light. A trouble remains present. All the elements of the reality of war are here, but we can sense a strange sensitiveness in the looks. Cette série fut réalisée durant une mission d'entrainement dans un camp en Afghanistan des forces américaines.

Project developed for Wired Italia, based on a Kevin Kelly article appeared on Wired US on May 2009 about a “new form of socialism”: internet. Influenced by '30/'40 Russian posters we designed a landscape in which every robot represents on of the 300 websites selected to represent this new form of socialism. For each of them we visualized 4 different numeric viariables in the shapes of their bodies by reinterpretating the Chernoff faces concept. trunk width » the economic value of a website;head size » the amount of users;saturation » age of the website (the oldest ones are less saturated, that is gray and pale);overall height » the worldwide ranking position (the more the website is high ranked, the more the robot is tall).
