The doctors informed Bernadette that their daughter likely wouldn’t see her first birthday, and advised her to abort. I held onto faith and the Word of God. Though Hannah eventually succumbed to her illness, the Smiths do not believe their time or suffering was wasted. What we’re seeing is not isolated cases of moral failing. The point of this blog post is that we know what we are doing — all America knows. We are killing children. Pro-choice and Pro-life people both know this. I made the point on social media that conservatives should tie any talk of gun restrictions to abortion restrictions. Imagine the worldwide uproar if a conservative American president began issuing executive orders restricting the “right” of women to kill their unborn babies. People will always manage to get their hands on guns, just as women will always manage to kill babies they don’t want, regardless of any laws on the books against it.
