EL SENTIR DE TODAS LAS VOCES: BIENAL DE GWANGJU

Con los años, gracias a significativos esfuerzos, la Bienal de Gwangju ha ido creciendo y haciéndose más conocida y respetada, construyendo sobre el doloroso pasado de esta ciudad nuevos significados y proyectando un nuevo futuro. La Bienal de Gwangju nace como un catalizador para el arte y la cultura de Corea, inspirado por el espíritu de sus ciudadanos y la riqueza artística de la región. Desde sus inicios, ha buscado fomentar la comunicación y la cooperación entre las ciudades y los artistas del mundo por medio de lo que sus fundadores llaman un Festival de Artes Visuales. Para ellos una Bienal no es sólo un evento donde muchos artistas desarrollan y exhiben sus propuestas: una Bienal contribuye, sustancialmente, a la creación de una sociedad.
