Bye-Bye Coffins! These Organic Burial Pods Will Turn You Into A Tree When You Die

This unconventional way of being buried might just be the future. This unique burial method originated in Italy and is titled The Capsula Mundi project, created by designers Anna Citelli and Raoul Bretzel. The designers created an organic, biodegradable burial capsule that actually transforms the body of the deceased into a tree. As this occurs, the body would turn into nutrients for the tree that would allow it to grow. It basically works like this… first the body is encapsulated in a fetal position and then buried, and either a tree seed or an actual tree is planted above the capsule. Diagram of the concept The capsule is made from a starch plastic which is 100% biodegradable The capsule would then be planted in soil like a seed Here’s the process Once the pods and trees are planted, it’s creates a “memory forest.” Your loved ones would then be able to take care of your tree. Acupuncture. Ancient Wisdom….Modern applications Chinese Medicine has been employed as a health care modality for over 3,000 years.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture and Moxibustion are one of the four pillars that Oriental Medicine uses to treat physical and emotional imbalances; the other three being: Herbal Medicine, Chi Kung and Nutrition. The ancient Chinese physicians believed strongly that “a superior healer is one who treats a disease before it shows symptoms, while an inferior one treats a disease only after it has manifested pain or discomfort,” (Inner Classic of the Yellow Emperor, 100 B.C.). They proposed that prevention should be our primary focus for health rather than the treatment of a disease. Acupuncture was first developed and used as a preventative form of treatment. In modern times we use acupuncture to treat a variety of physical and emotional imbalances ranging form endocrine, circulatory and systemic conditions. How does Acupuncture work? 50 self-care ideas « Lifestyle « back to her roots

I focus a lot on taking care of myself nutritionally and through fitness, but I don’t talk a whole lot about the emotional side of living a healthy life. It isn’t just about eating kale and burning calories. There is an emotional component to wellness that I think gets overlooked too frequently. You can’t be the healthiest you until your diet, fitness and emotional state are all healthy. And I’m definitely guilty of neglecting the emotional component. I tend to put myself at the very end of my priority list—especially when that list gets long.

I have to take care of myself before I can take care of anyone or anything else. So here are my ideas for self-care. Onto my list…. Give myself a pedicure.Give myself a manicure.Read for an hour.Sit on the front porch. What’s your favorite way to take care of yourself?
