it’s been about 12 hours now since you left. i don’t understand what happened, and it’s making me nuts because i’m not sure if i should have seen something, found you earlier, was it something in your food…you were fine and dandy jumping up and down the window sill all morning, visiting the birds. right now you should be prowling into every room, meowing for late nite games and snacks. i haven’t cried in about 3 hours but i distracted myself with tv and dinner, but it’s really quiet and lonely now. i tried to go to bed around 11pm but it felt claustrophobic. i could hear every creak in the apartment and it should have been you coming to visit, making your nightly rounds, so i started crying again. and i have no one to talk to so i’m pretending to talk to you. your food and water bowl are still out. i have to pack up your things tomorrow, i couldn’t deal today. tomorrow doesn’t feel like it’ll be better.
