Happy New Year from the StepMania team! In 2012, we will start releasing alpha versions of StepMania 5, beginning with alpha 1. Our goal for this year is to get StepMania 5.0 final released. We do have a lot of things to fix, though, so we could use all the help we can get.
I've collected a bunch of DDR arcade machine operator manuals, schematic diagrams, as well as a number of Install and Data CDs for different mixes (for coin-op only). If you're interested in discussing the internal workings of a Dance Dance Revolution machine, please drop me a comment. Also, I have most Japanese and American versions of this game in Playstation and PS/2 with RedOctane Ignition pads which I would highly recommend.
There have been some questions regarding what will happen to the machine locations section. I intend to continue to keep running the Machine Locations section, and anything else that is useful to a large number of people. It will probably require some tweaking in how it decides a modification is valid, since the traffic is much lower than it used to be.
We need you! Yes you, not you, the other you! We are fast approaching the London MCM Expo in May 2011, and we are looking for Volunteers to help out during the event. We are not looking for any one, we are looking for people who will be willing to put up with the extra workload that this will put on you, and understand that you may not have as much fun as you think you will. – It probably does not sell the part, but I have to be honest up front.
There are 43 new 5th mix mp3's uploaded now. Every playstation 5th mix version song is included, encoded at 128kbit/sec stereo. These mp3's uploaded are different files from those previously available, although the music in 2 or 3 of them may be substantially similar to those previously available. To save myself time, I did not check to make sure.
