The graphics are slightly enhanced to bring them on par with modern standards: there is now a full 3D mode in addition to the usual isometric perspective one, a "pastel drawing" rendering mode and various camera placement options. The 3D engine is based on OpenGL, SDL takes care of the interaction with the OS and FMOD is used for sound. This means the game is as multi platform as possible, and non windows builds should be fairly straightforward.
