Make sure you keep up to date with Student Finance too (you don’t want to find the payments aren’t ready to be made just as you start!)
3. Have an idea of monthly costs
It really helps if you’re able to work out how much money you have after the rent comes out. Get an idea in mind of food prices. Compare costs and shop around. Maybe even do some research online before you leave to get an idea of weekly shopping costs.
4. Learn to cook
You shouldn’t have to live off beans and toast! There are several dishes which can be accomplished for very little money, whilst also being nutritious. Ask family members for recipes that you enjoy, and make your own recipe book!
