Going up Awareness of packaging – Consumers are more concerned and more aware than ever of recycling, but still need to be made aware that food-grade PET can be made from plastic bottles. They don't as yet understand closed loop recycling; that PET pellet can be made from recycled bottles and used to make new preforms and blow new bottles. Also, more onus should be put on the intelligent and concerned consumer to sort plastic bottles by colour and help improve the quality of recycled PET.The trend to natural – Nothing new, but a growing area of interest.
