The 330ml PET bottle, which is being supported by a heavyweight outdoor media campaign during September, aims to help grow the Sports & Energy category - the biggest soft drinks sub-category in impulse – by being relevant to more consumers through more usage occasions in their day to day lives. Data shows that the bottle format in soft drinks is already popular with consumers, with 17 of the top 25 selling soft drinks in the plastic bottle format.

Also, in the current make up of the Sports & Energy category, bottles contribute 57% of the value and cans 43%3. However, the functional energy bottles only make up 9%, which provides a massive opportunity to build category growth through this segment – the fastest growing of any within Sports & Energy. The short films will change every month and will be accompanied by activity in the Cineworld magazine, via social media, and in foyers. The Red Bull Energy Drink and Red Bull Sugarfree will also go on sale in all Cineworld cinemas. Red Bull, which booked the activity directly with Cineworld and its sales house DCM, aims for the films to become a "talking point" across social media, and has planned a teaser campaign on Cineworld’s YouTube channel.

A Red Bull editorial promotion will run in Cineworld’s Unlimited magazine, which Cineworld claims has a distribution base of 400,000, as well as on its online version for the duration of the campaign. Cette fois-ci la marque innove et se lance dans le documentaire cinématographique. Un brand content de sports extrêmes, grisant et très énergisant… “Arrivez 5 minutes avant l’heure indiquée ou vous louperez toute l’action”. La bande annonce qui sera diffusée à partir de vendredi sur YouTube ne ment pas. Quatre petits films de quatre minutes (‘Sucker Punch’, ‘Limitless’, ‘Source Code’ et ‘The Eagle’) mettront ainsi en avant les uns après les autres, pendant 4 mois, les exploits des champions Danny MacAskill (trialiste VTT), Felix Baumgartner (parachutiste de l’extrême), Robbie Maddison (pilote de moto-cross) et Rachel Atherton (championne du monde de descente en VTT).
