In a follow up to my previous post that Mesa3D (the open-source implementation of the OpenGL API) will begin supporting OpenGL 3.0 and GLSL 1.30 from the next release; Phoronix is reporting that the open source AMD driver for the R600 series of chipsets can now leverage the new OpenGL 3.0 support in Mesa. The open-source AMD drivers are remarkably stable, although slower than AMD's official "fglrx" driver. The new OpenGL 3.0 support is an amazing step forward for the open-source driver stack. - Home of the Lightweight Java Game Library The Lightweight Java Game Library (LWJGL) is a solution aimed directly at professional and amateur Java programmers alike to enable commercial quality games to be written in Java. LWJGL provides developers access to high performance crossplatform libraries such as OpenGL (Open Graphics Library), OpenCL (Open Computing Language) and OpenAL (Open Audio Library) allowing for state of the art 3D games and 3D sound. Additionally LWJGL provides access to controllers such as Gamepads, Steering wheel and Joysticks. All in a simple and straight forward API. - Home of the Lightweight Java Game Library - java graphics, audio, media and processing librarie - java graphics, audio, media and processing librarie JogAmp is the home of high performance Java™ libraries for 3D Graphics, Multimedia and Processing. JOGL - Java Binding for the OpenGL API JOGL - Java Binding for the OpenGL API Overview The JOGL project hosts the development version of the Java™ Binding for the OpenGL® API, and is designed to provide hardware-supported 3D graphics to applications written in Java. JOGL provides full access to the APIs in the OpenGL [ 1.0 .. 4.3 ], ES 1, ES 2 and ES 3 specification as well as nearly all vendor extensions. OpenGL Evolution & JOGL and the JOGL Specification may give you a brief overview.
