Nene Valley Railway - Yarwell Junction

The new station at Yarwell Junction, built over the winter of 2006/7, was opened during Easter 2007 and now allows passengers the opportunity of walking to the local villages of Nassington and Yarwell, or just to watch the engine run round its train. Unfortunately Oliver Cromwell will no longer be hauling the steam shuttle this weekend due to a defect, making it unfixable in time. A unique opportunity to travel between the National Railway Museum in York and Locomotion in Shildon, via atmospheric steam and diesel shuttles linking the sites. The shuttles will run over two weekends, and be pulled by locomotives including the steam star of the Harry Potter movies, No. 5972 Olton Hall.
