Advantages of the wedge;
cheap to produce, more thermally efficient that the bath tub design. The wedge shape also assists in directing pressure, built up from combustion, towords the thrust side of the piston.
Disadvantages;
the chamber is less thermalrly efficient than the hempherical type of the chamber.
