Guido Henn, the German master cabinetmaker, built it for Fine-Tools.com. Henn has 20 + years of experience as a woodworker, teacher, and has written for a number of woodworking publications. A modern adaptation with high-quality accessories first became possible because of the hardware developed and produced by the American manufacturer Benchcrafted. As Henn built the prototype bench, we also drew up a detailed set of plans and made explanatory videos so that any reasonably experienced woodworker could build their own Roubo-style workbench.

But when i started doing larger job site work helping out other woodworkers i noticed something was not right. Often working on the floor or on shabby work horses at best didn't feel right. So i started thinking what i could come up with to make working on site as enjoyable and practical as working in my own shop. While thinking about this i tried to find as many problems and issues i found with how most woodworkers work on site, and tried to fix as many of those problems as i could in one solution. That is how after about 10 months of planning, building and testing prototypes i came up with the MFTC! Après avoir conçu la MFTB, une boite à outils compatible systainer et mini-mini établi (dont je parlerai ultérieurement), il a réalisé un établi multi-fonctions qui résout très élégamment les problématiques des menuisiers tant professionnels qu'amateurs quant à la polyvalence de l'outil, l'encombrement réduit, la manipulation et le transport aisé et les possibilités d'extensions. Bref, les raisons qui ont fait que j'ai naguère acheté un établi Festool et qui font que je suis aujourd'hui nettement plus enthousiaste vis à vis de son établi à lui, car je trouve qu'il répond bien mieux à ces attentes... Son établi est réalisable par tout un chacun, pourvu que vous soyez équipé de l'électro-portatif de base présent dans tout atelier de menuisier : scie circulaire, défonceuse, perceuse et scie sauteuse.
