Many students are heading back to school with smartphones and tablets in their backpacks, and there’s a host of free and low-cost apps out there that can make these gadgets even more useful for scholars who want to stay on top of their studies. To sift through all these apps, CBC News spoke with three app developers who are students themselves and asked for their recommendations about software that can help people succeed in school: Brennan McEachran is a fourth year commerce student at Ryerson University and is the CEO of Hit Send, a technology startup incubated in Ryerson’s Digital Media Zone that creates web applications for companies.
