WhoSampled (UK) - music discovery. Evolver.fm. (This is a guest post from James Martin of midemblog.

Music 4.5, TechPitch 4.5 and Music TechPitch 4.5 are series of events that bring together start-ups, serial entrepreneurs, investors, artists, band managers and key industry players to share knowledge, discuss strategies for business success, debate market trends and evolution, as well as network.

Music 4.5

The series of events was started with a passion for helping start-ups and investors connect, while working and sharing more closely with artists. The 4.5 Blog is all about inspiring entrepreneurial ideas and insight, delivering return-on-investmtent – 4.5 times if possible, and innovation by disruptive technologies and businesses. The 4.5 in all the event names is derived from a Web 2.0 philosophy which says that, after the huge losses incurred on Web 1.0, the ambition for web enterprises is to make money and achieve a 4.5 times return on investment (ROI). In the music and technology business landscape this means a 4.5 times ROI for all parties: artists, entrepreneurs and investors.
