Maple and Linear Algebra. This document introduces the most important Maple commands for work in Linear Algebra. It is assumed that you already have a working knowledge of Maple itself. If you are not familiar with Maple, you should first read Getting Started with Maple and try a few of the commands covered there in an actual Maple session. Of course, you will need to have Maple installed on your computer before you can do any of this. Fortunately, Maple is installed on many computers throughout Vanier so you should have no trouble finding a computer to work with.

It is impossible to cover everything, or give an exhausinve treatment of each command. Most Linear Algebra related commands are in a special package called 'linalg,' so you need to load this first. With(linalg); to load the package. Vectors Vectors are special cases of arrays; consequently, there are two commands for entering a vector. U := array([a, b, c]); u := vector([a, b, c]); We shall use the second method here.

Norm(u,2); Ö2 sqrt(dotprod(u,u); Ö2. PHYSICS 1A and HIGHER PHYSICS 1A (PHYS1121 & PHYS1131) Important links The First Year Office (LG03 in Old Main Building). A geophysics study indicates that the Permian catastrophe, in which most species on earth perished (including trilobites) was only initiated by volcanos, rather than produced by it. The volcanic eruptions allowed the catastrophic population explosion of methane producing microbes, and the resulting climate change wiped out most species.
