Eat good, old fashioned, real food. All else in life will follow. Since Curtis was born, my life has been a really long feeding session. So in order to avoid a fire in my kitchen, I’ve been cooking mostly with the slowcooker. http://fox.blogs.friendster.com/my_blog/2007/01/crockpot_chicke.html

Sally's Kitchen & Stuff: Crockpot Pot Roast

Eat good, old fashioned, real food. All else in life will follow. This is so easy anybody can make it. When we dug into it the meat was falling right off - great cooking method for cheaper, tougher cuts of meat! Ingredients 1 beef pot roast (chuck or round), about 2 lbs 1 CAN cream of celery soup 1/3 CUP chicken broth 1/4 CUP Italian style breadcrumbs 2 CUPS frozen vegetables (I used mixed cauliflower and broccoli) Salt & Pepper to taste Half a head of garlic, peeled and crushed 2 TBSP clean tasting oil (like peanut or corn oil, but not olive oil) 1 Egg 2 TBSP flour

Eight legs, eats fish. What is it? | Simon Barnes: Wild Notebook

http://www.timesplus.co.uk/tto/news/?login=false&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thetimes.co.uk%2Ftto%2Fopinion%2Fcolumnists%2Fsimonbarnes%2F A UN-brokered peace deal to end the violence in Syria appears to have collapsed after President Assad’s regime issued a last minute demand that its opponents provide “written guarantees” they would lay down their weapons - a call swiftly rejected by the main Syrian rebel group. The deal, brokered by Kofi Annan as special envoy for the UN and Arab League, was due to start to take effect on Tuesday with regime tanks beginning to withdraw from cities, paving the way for negotiations to end the country’s year-old crisis. Mr Annan said last week that Mr Assad had accepted the plan and its call for government forces to pull back. But today Jihad Makdessi, Syria’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, placed a new condition, saying that the government would keep its promises provided that the opposition agree in writing “to halt violence with all its forms and their readiness to lay down weapons”.

Firefox Running Slow? Make It Fast Again Without Re-Installation

http://labnol.blogspot.com/2007/09/firefox-runs-slow-speed-memory-fast.html Problem : You cannot imagine life without Firefox but over time, your favorite browser keeps getting slower and slower. Not only is it slow, Firefox sometimes hangs for no reason, consumes a large amount of memory and CPU usage can climb to 90% or more when you have multiple tabs open simultaneously. You have uninstalled most of the extensions and toolbars, deleted all the cookies and internet temporary files, cleared up the file download queue and disabled the background check for software updates - but none of this has helped you speed-up Firefox. Solution : This is a common problem especially if you have been running Firefox for some time - I don't know why Firefox slows down but here's a small trick to rejuvenate the aged copy of Firefox without doing a fresh install. Now when you Start Firefox in the new profile, you are very likely to be impressed with the speed.

Red Worm Composting

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Bentley (“Compost Guy”) Christie and I’ve been a crazed worm composting fanatic (or “vermiholic” if you prefer) for nearly 12 yrs now. I created this website back in 2006 with the simple intention of sharing my passion with the world. So far so good! Things have certainly progressed since the early days, though, and the website has provided me with an amazing opportunity to get to know a LOT of other “worm heads” from across North America and around the world!
