I am halfway through this podcast! Now back to the crochet.... This is in AU/UK terminology! So you need to convert if you are using US Terminology. This is a bit like making a granny square, only easier! I used a 3.5mm hook and baby yarn (4 ply) for this grey one. I got the clear glass baubles at Lincraft and the pink bauble is from Big W. If you are having trouble crocheting in to the first gap when you go up to the next round, if it feels like you are crocheting backwards, then flip your work over and crochet on the reverse side, as per the instructions. This pattern can be varied dramatically : do feel free to play around and go wild with this idea!

This easy to make greeting card uses a simple paper punch to achieve stunning results. To make this gorgeous, intricate, three dimensional card, we put a paper punch to a new and innovative use. The punch used was not a Christmas tree, but rather a punch of a bare branched tree. Put lots of these punched elements together and you come up with this hip design. All that is required, is to cut a centre line half way up from the bottom in your first image, half way down from the top in the second image. It takes awhile to decide on a stamp set, layout and then more time to execute your design. I love gathering "ingredients" and then going to work on the design. I had these Santa stamped images laying around and I put them to quick use with a Sketch Challenge from Splitcoast Stampers. Their sketch had the three elements along the bottom half of the card all set to the left, so an asymetrical design, but I'm not so asymetrical, so I spaced them evenly. No worries, the sketch is only a starting place. I began my card by scoring the Real Red cardstock so it would really pop out the slanted lines of the Merry Moments Designer Series stripe. This card was done in 10 minutes because I had the squares laying around from another project. Ingredients: Cardstock: Real Red, Very Vanilla.
