Students at Shiloh Point have never known a world without the Internet, cell phones, instant messaging, and other forms of communication and collaboration. The world around them is being ‘flattened’ by the tools that allow individuals to connect, share and create at any time at any location. Our vision is to use classroom technology to engage students in asking question and choosing tools to facilitate real world problem solving.
It is our job as educators to help empower our students to be constructors of knowledge, rather than just receptacles. Technology tools can help students to become independent thinkers and learners and contribute to the endless world of knowledge. Shiloh is filled with technology resources that help create an engaging learning environment in which every student is given an opportunity to become an independent and responsible learner of tomorrow. In addition to a Promethean ActivBoard, there are at least four desktop computers available in all classrooms. BYOT Network.
