Looks yummy, right? And let me tell you, this cinnamon bread really is yummy! Immensely! I am actually so impressed by it that I would call it a gift from heaven. Okay, maybe not exactly from heaven since the original recipe was born in Joy the Baker’s kitchen.
If there’s one canned food I really love, it’s Tuna!
Nutter Butter- Peanut Butter Pie If you hadn’t heard already, our food blogging friend Jennie lost her husband Mikey last week. It was a sudden and unexpected loss. The kind of loss that is unfair in every way. In the midst of grieving for her lost love, she asked the world to make a peanut butter pie (Mikey’s favorite) and share it with someone they love.
I told you guys that I'm wasting a lot of time nowadays looking at pretty pictures and interesting ideas on Pinterest. I already have a bunch of different boards for all kinds of stuff - be it food or interior design. But I especially liked the idea of someone making up Harry Potter related drinks. And then I googled the term and came up with a bunch of interesting stuff. So I'm going to share only a couple of them with you guys (I know that this won't be the favorite topic of a bunch of you, but check them all out. Maybe you'll find something you like.), because there are a LOT of them out there.
I went to see tUnE-yArDs on Monday night with some friends, and as always we wanted to cook a meal that somehow related to the show we were heading to. Sometimes this is hard to do , but other times it seems to come naturally . Finding culinary inspiration in Merrill's lyrics seemed like it would be tough, but my sister knew what she wanted to make without hesitation. "How about something layered, because of all the vocal and instrument layering in the music?" From there we worked together to come up with this deep, colorful, and multi-flavored lasagna version of a timpano. If you are using words like deep, colorful, and multi-flavored to describe something inspired by tUnE-yArDs, you already know you got it right!
My avocado obsession continues, this time with Stovetop Avocado Mac and Cheese! If you like our Creamy Avocado Pasta , you will love this decadent macaroni and cheese. It is basically the same delicious pasta, but kicked up a notch.
Soooooo… you know that episode of Sex and the City where Miranda has to dump dish soap on top of chocolate cake just so she will stop eating it?? Uh. Yeeeeeah.
I am so in love with these darn chocolate lava cookies! What is it about a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie stuffed with decadent, rich, melted chocolate that makes it so irresistible?? Especially when topped with vanilla ice cream. These are one of Kev’s favorite homemade treats, and he usually asks me to make them at least once a week.
Homemade Samoas Cookies ~ Now you can enjoy one of the most popular Girl Scout cookies year around. Keep reading for the homemade Samoas cookie recipe. It’s a lot easier than you might think.
I present to you all a Christmas roast.
I found these helpful charts last week and just had to share! Both of these beauties are from Chasing Delicious (aka one of the most fab foodie blogs out there)! Aren’t they faaaaabulous?! Buy them here .
We are carb lovers at our house, so when I saw the Braided Spaghetti Bread recipe in the Rhodes Home Baked Family Favorites with frozen dough cookbook I knew we would love it. This is a really simple recipe; it just takes a little planning for thawing the dough. It will take 2-3 hours for the bread loaf to thaw to room temperature or 1-2 hours for the rolls to thaw to room temperature.

If french fries and onion rings ever got married and had a baby, I think it would be something like this…a potato ring. You have a light and crispy outer coating with a soft potato and caramelized onion center…why? Because we can I guess, who knows…but it’s kind of fun, right?! My boyfriend and his friends have this thing where every super bowl they have a “Deep-Fry Fest” where, well they deep fry everything; so if you’re anything like my boyfriend you now have another “Deep Fry Fest” recipe to use!
