For the 2014 remake, see The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. On November 1, 2011, it was added to the Humble Indie Bundle as part of the Humble Voxatron Debut.[1] The game and downloadable content was later featured in the Humble Indie Bundle 7.[2] Additionally, the game and downloadable content was made available on the Humble Roguelike Weekly Bundle in January 2014.[3] Developer Nicalis worked with McMillen to complete a remake of the game The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth which was released on 4 November 2014, bringing additional features that the developer could not implement in the original Flash version.[4] The game's title and plot are composed of references to the Biblical story known as the Binding of Isaac.

The Binding of Isaac est un jeu indépendant d'action-aventure créé par Edmund McMillen et Florian Himsl. Il est sorti aux États-Unis le sur Steam, accompagné d'une démo gratuite sur internet[1]. L'interface et le gameplay font référence à ceux du jeu The Legend of Zelda paru sur NES, à la différence que les combats se déroulent la plupart du temps à distance, Isaac se battant au moyen de ses larmes, qu'il utilise comme projectiles. Au fil de l'aventure, il obtiendra néanmoins des armes qui, combinées, permettent d'offrir une grande variété de gameplay. L'ambiance visuelle générale est gore et malsaine de part la présence de corps démembrés, de fœtus ou de monstres représentant des organes, mais néanmoins attrayante par le choix d'une représentation cartoon des différents décors et protagonistes.
