In this recipe I’ve endeavored to use my favorite ingredients from Spain: its freshly harvested olive oil, their prized Gordal olives and an exquisite soft goat cheese from Spain. Ingredients 1c Gordal Olives from Spain*– medium chopped 1/2c Extra Virgin Olive Oil*(recommend the Oro Bailen Picual EVOO, Spain, November 2015 harvest) ¼ c Goat cheese* (recommend Leonora goat cheese, Spain, a favorite at baker & olive) 1 ½ tbsp Capers, small 2 tbsp Oven roasted tomatoes* – medium chopped (available at baker & olive deli -may substitute sun dried tomatoes) 1 tsp Garlic – minced 1 ½ tbsp Lemon Balsamic Vinegar* 1 ½ tbsp Blood Orange extra virgin olive oil* Savory French Toast. This recipe makes "breakfast for dinner" more appealing for those who like savory over sweet for any meal.

The baker & olive team offers chef-inspired provisions curated by its sommelier and executive chef, Sean Fisher, and the newly appointed chef and cheese monger manager for the Newport Beach store, Ashley Cochrane, previously of the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. The shop – which will serve as a flagship location – will serve as a tasting pantry, featuring a wood burning pizza oven (for demonstration tastings only), a demo nook, a cheese case filled with artisan cheese and charcuterie, and a bevy of specialty, seasonal olive oils and vinegar's.
