El número Φ (Phi), también conocido como la proporción áurea, número áureo, razón dorada, divina proporción o media áurea, es un algoritmo matemático perfecto que se esconde en los patrones de infinidad de manifestaciones naturales. A lo largo de los siglos, desde el 3000 a.C., Φ ha sido descubierto y redescubierto en numerosas ocasiones por distintas culturas y siempre ha despertado una gran admiración y desconcierto. Euclides la describió con exactitud por primera vez y definió el teorema para hallar lo que el llamó “ la media y extrema razón ” de una línea, es decir, su proporción áurea.

Below is some work from my ongoing thesis : The Soft Grid, which is an investigation into the spatial organizations of architecture through the lens of gridding systems. This video demonstrates the running of an algorithm that I’m developing which tiles the plane using parallelogram shaped units. In this case, there are ten different tiles generated from five vectors.
