We return to the creative work of Supermachine Studio , the multidisciplinary design firm that architect Pitupong (Jack) Chaowakul established in 2009 in Bangkok. Last year, we covered Supermachine's design of Bangkok University Creative Center. This time, our attention was piqued immediately by the first images we saw of Supermachine's ideas for the rebirth of Saatchi & Saatchi Thailand's office. Supermachine was the team of choice for Saatchi & Saatchi's regional creative director, Joel Clement, because he was looking for playful and unexpected design solutions. Clement wanted a space "that inspires, is genuinely fun to come to everyday, and that didn't take itself too seriously."

Alan Friedman’s Astonishing HD Photographs of the Sun Shot from his Own Backyard Alan Friedman is a fascinating guy. By day he’s a maker of greeting cards and a lover of hats , but in his spare time he’s a self-proclaimed space cowboy who points a telescope skyward from his backyard in downtown Buffalo, directly into the light of the sun. Using special filters attached to his camera Friedman captures some of the most lovely details of the Sun’s roiling surface. The raw images are colorless and often blurry requiring numerous hours of coloring, adjusting and finessing to tease out the finest details, the results of which hardly resemble what I imagine the 5,500 degree (Celsius) surface of Sun might look like. http://www.thisiscolossal.com/category/photography/page/3/

The Brief To re-design a logo that is bold, different to the many other camera and video on line-shops – something that grabs your attention, will work in myriads of advert sizes, to be able to compete for attention in busy online websites. The logo needed to be versatile for pretty much any and all media including web, digital, print, large format, signs etc. There was a chance this logo was going to be placed on the outside of a building, so this was an important factor in the design. Other than that, it was left by the client for me to choose the path – so plenty of artistic license so to speak. The Initial Thoughts
