I must admit I don't fully understand this form. About eight years ago I noticed a rise in the use of the photo realistic form from painters around the world. At first it was focused on glass objects and water, then it morphed into a new form of photo realism, one which included bad framing and some of the abnormalities in digital photography. I am convinced that cell phone cameras and the overall increase in the use of photography in society sparked the start of this trend.
From what I can tell viewing this work off an internet browser, this guy is top of the heap. While I am still getting my head around this form I could not clap any more loudly in appreciation for the talents of these folks, from this guy to the person who paints beach waves and the woman who has mastered the glass jar, there are stupendous talents out there.
