TweetNewz (via (jeff)isageek today) is a whole lot of footprint on your desktop UI for starters. It brings together news feeds and allows you to perform feed management and then tweet and discuss those feeds. It runs as an Adobe Air application, so you get cross platform capability right away. After you’ve been on Twitter for a little while, you will find that you’re following people who you’re actually not all that interested in. You want to remove them, but it seems like such a pain that you never bother.
