The Photographer Fashion writer and photo stylist, turned photographer, Heidi Lender’s new series She Can Leap Tall Buildings, is a nod to her mom, and all women who do it all, and do it all well. Heidi poses wearing a black wig (along with the occasional prop) in front of black graphic backgrounds, representing all the different roles women take on. Having only picked up a camera in 2009, her impressive work in this self-portrait series is both whimsical and thoughtful.

Phomer. Logo Design Books. If this is indeed a big list, it's because there are an astonishing number of books devoted to logo creation. In fact, there are so many that it would have been wrong to call this collection the "ultimate" list, since there are no doubt a few more volumes out there that we overlooked. We have started with 38 but we'll be adding them as we find them, so if you know of a title, by all means let us know. Finally, it's worth mentioning that design books in general seem to go out of print very quickly. So we have linked to the publisher whenever possible but if the book is out of print the link goes to Amazon, where used copies are often available. It was a lot of fun putting this list together — we hope you find it useful.
