Geotechnical works conducted by ACES include thorough soil investigations for Line 1, 3, 4 and 6, which required drilling, sampling, and extensive field testing of over 200 boreholes. For lines 1 and 2, the soil investigation work was coupled with geophysical testing including down holes, cross hole, acoustic televiewer and ERT testing. Currently, ACES is involved with a three year contract to conduct the quality control and management work for ANM’s Line 3.

January 2017 Advanced Construction Technology Services (ACTS) has been awarded a contract to carry out testing and analysis on construction materials to be used for the Riyadh Metro Lines One and Two. The metro contract win is the second for ACTS after it was awarded a previous assignment to carry out geotechnical and geophysical works on the same two metro lines in support of the BACS (Saudi Arabian Bechtel, Almabani General Contractors and Consolidated Contractors Company and Siemens Aktiengesellschaft) consortium, said the company. They are manufactured in several casting yards constructed specially for this project and are located adjacent to the viaduct.
