Une technologie innovante dans l'énergie des vagues > Vagues. L'Espagne développe une nouvelle technologie de récupération de l'énergie des vagues, qui, selon ses concepteurs, permettra d'accroître considérablement (d'environ 170%) la capacité par unité de surface et la production d'énergie, comparativement à d'autres engins existants.
Ce système, nommé WELCOME (acronyme de Wave Energy Lift Converter Multiples España), et proposé par la société Pipo systems sera développé par un consortium créé entre l'espagnol Anortec et deux instituts de recherche publics : "Plateforme Océanique des Canaries" et "L'Ecole industrielle de Barcelone (CEIB)".
Le ministère des sciences et de l'innovation a récemment accordé à ce projet une subvention publique d'une valeur de 2,1 millions d'euros. WELCOME est basé sur le système APC-PISYS conçu par Pipo Systems et composé de multiples bouées, placées en surface et à des profondeurs sous-marines variables et ajustables. The main aim of the Welcome project is to demonstrate the usefulness and the application of the APC-PISYS technological capabilities to the existing shortage of global energy in autonomous devices for marine observation in both oceans and coastal waters.
This project originated from the National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2008-2011, Resolution 5749 of 27.3.2009, of the Secretariat of State for Research, who made an extraordinary announcement in 2009 on the granting of funding from the Singular Strategic Projects Subprogramme cooperative demonstration in energy and its efficient use, in accordance with the actions included in Plan E.
At a scale of 1:5 with an intermediate swell like that found in the Canary Islands (Las Palmas I and II Buoys from Puertos del Estado), the APC-PISYS system can reach a power of between 100 y 150 kW. Spain grants €2.1m for wave energy device.
