Frank's Corner, Running Windows applications and games on Linux

"There's always an emulator for your favorite strategy, first person shooter or rpg game out there, in fact, you cannot only run your favorite games on Linux but almost every program designed for Windows out there with some exceptions of course. For example, you may not be able to find a way to play online slots on Linux, but there's definitely many ways to access some of the best online casino sites and still play your favorite games from a Linux environment." " Linux poker is growing in popularity, as users continue to shape the online gaming world. More online poker rooms aren't just compatible with Linux, they can be played with both Mac and Windows OS too.

winetricks - The Official Wine Wiki

WineTools is a menu driven installer for installing about 90 Windows programs under the x86 (Athlon or Intel PC) processor architecture with the Linux operating system using Wine. This software lets you install the following Windows software: It also sets up your .wine directory in the correct way, downloads the files to install from the web (only the free and shareware ones for sure), installs Windows fonts and lets you uninstall and configure your software. And it does much more than Sidenet , although older versions used to use a part of the configuration for IE6 (thanks for that!). WineTools was initially written by Frank Hendriksen and was extended by me (Joachim von Thadden ) and Sven Paschukat . http://www.von-thadden.de/Joachim/WineTools/
