Beatles and Beats Per Minute « The Buddha Rats®: Love Shout Music. A few years ago I was importing various Beatles songs into Acid Pro to find out what tempo range The Lads liked to work in (as a drummer, I’m interested in details like this). I had the beat-mapper function work it all out. I don’t know if Acid was dead on accurate, but I think it provided a good ballpark figure for each song listed. In any case here is the BPM information for 32 of their finest songs: Taxman 135.109The Word 121.545Getting Better 115.038Lovely Rita 92.158Dear Prudence 74.367Glass Onion 119.966Blackbird 93.750Birthday 138.899Mother Nature’s Son 84.930Everybody’s Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey 118.584Sexy Sadie 78.790Savoy Truffle 121.315Cry Baby Cry 77.400Real Love 86.754Strawberry Fields 100Sgt.

Muddy Waters Blues Band | Fillmore Auditorium | San Francisco, CA | Nov 4, 1966. Muddy Waters - vocals, guitarFrancis Clay - drumsMac Arnold - bassSammy Lawhorn - guitarGeorge Smith - harmonicaLuther "Georgia Boy" Johnson - guitar This was the first of three days that the legendary Muddy Waters played San Francisco's Fillmore West in November of 1966. In addition to this show on the 4th, he played another night on the 5th and a rare matinee show on the 6th of November. All three shows included Quicksilver Messenger Service and Andrew Staples on the bill.

Although Waters (born McKinley Morganfield) would continue recording and performing until his death in 1983, many consider the touring band featured on this show among the finest backing bands he would ever front. Featuring George Smith on harmonica and Luther "Georgia Boy" Johnson on guitar (along with Waters himself), the band was obviously enjoying their newfound audience, which consisted mostly of San Francisco's emerging hippie community.
