But it’s greatest failing? It seems to be one of the very few ebook readers on the planet that cannot read the EPUB format. EPUB is an open-source e-book format that’s not only free from patents and used on most devices, it can also be used commercially as it supports (dare we say it) digital rights management or DRM. But Amazon seems to have decided that it would rather you only buy and read its books, rather than read anything in EPUB format.
