Shiny and nimble and fast,That's what $60.00 and some elbow grease can get you,Twelve hours with some four-aught steel wool makes fools,Fools like those who thought "Old, dirty, and dingy. " It's all in the details,In knowing what's underneath that thin patina of age,Vintage 1972 and she's still a stunner today,My sweet little Lightning Bug,She gleams and glows and rolls like a dream;I dream of the big city at night,Modern LED's to go with the generator light,Show off some real steel and chrome,Green that is,Green gold,Chicago steel,Help save the planet a little.

Full details and pictures of the restoration: Why Poets Poem And Painters Paint... ~*~SOTW~*~ in Constellation. Why Poets Poem And Painters Paint...It could be some wonder under the stars,It could be some ancient goddess from story jars,It could be a sentimental sin,But then,Again,I think it's just the thief named Time,That endless robber of yours and mine,The one who takes the frightened rabbits away,Which we all become someday,And because places lose their magic all too soon,When the people who were there fly over the Moon,And youth is wasted when it's taken away,And friends and lovers deserve a lot more days,Just like mothers and fathers and grands,Great and more they take their stand,But the river of time sweeps us all off of our feet,And no one knows how to swim.
Take It To The Limit...(Inspired by Curtis) in Constellation. No One Knows Atlas. No One Knows Atlas... They say he is a Titan,And he is,But how can you fathom him,I saw him in a dream,The world resting on his shoulders like a pizza platter,Flat yet textured incredibly well. The world he holds up has a great ocean,It's always sunrise on one side of the ocean,And always a dark starry night on the side resting over Atlas's head,His skull is open like a goblet,Being constantly filled with the waters of the Earth's sad sea. The waves in this ocean are made up of opalescent pearls,The Ravens tear open the chests of Dreamers who suffer loss and grief,They are the burning jewels of sorrow torn from their hearts,Once the Ravens swallow them,They fly to the sunrise side of the Sea of Sorrows,Regurgitate the hurt into the ocean.
I see Atlas' eyes,They're so black not even light can escape,Dark like a shark's,So you can't see what bearing the full weight of the world does to him. AquarianM. A strange looking space craft floating by,A nebular hideout upon high,All sorts of antennae and fancy gear,For blue skinned exogenics to better hear,They've captured the best of the classical tunes,TV shows with bubbles under paper moons,They copied and copied to their delight,And to their own universe they'll fly by night,Previewing calculations for the duration,Determining how much to charge for an Earthly sensation,Old radio waves traveled so far,They've now got Muzak in a data jar,And Rigellian elevators will no longer be dreary,For Altarians who last heard only Timothy Leary,Up in asteroid mines it's now quite a sight,Lawrence Welk an alien delight,And the Pleadians are no longer up tight,But the media moguls are suing over losses on the copyright,Interstellar Napster files, what a terrible fright!

In The Aftermath. In The Aftermath... In the stillborn silence of the aftermath of the tragedy... My voice was still, silenced, lost, cold, lonely, muffled...senseless,Unable to make sense or speak...anything. After all of that...percolated through - underneath my soul,What came up,What rose up,What grew...was the knowledge,Pure and simple,That the only thing left to do...was to send love, Be love,Give love, Show love...cast love... ...And let that be the dandelion seed floating in the breeze,That lands inside the muzzle of the gun... ...shutting it forever. Audio: Whissler's Paradise:*Awarded* (Christmas audio series #4) in Constellation. Whissler's Paradise: Snow flakes fall in a small town, Early on on a mid-December eve, An old man meanders slowly through the snow, For once in his many years, He has a place to go. Street lights only add to the Christmas light cheer. He'd sipped from the bottle, The one in the pocket of his tatty black overcoat, Just enough to get a warm glow in his center, He walked down the decorated sidewalks, Past places running down slowly that he'd known for years.
Cracked sidewalks and rust, busted shingles and faded paint. The snow covered any litter, Falling on an eyelash or cheek in cold awakening, He walked slowly with purpose, Unlike the street people with no place to get warm, He had a small apartment filled with memories. Lonely winter years lair. Soon the sign his rheumy old eyes sought was ahead, Faded and flaking colors held hints of past glory, "Majestic" in bold lettering a masquerade of days gone by, There was something special playing, It had been so many years. Glory days will pass you by. AquarianM. By The Garage Lights...(Sax & Guitar track) in Constellation. Yuku free message boards Forgot Password? Poets' Ache Review...(Written July, 2000) in Constellation. Signs And Portents. Poet & Patrons: Anachronisms & Dream Fragments. Walking down the street amidst a mostly stone-faced people, A warm Autumn day bares a rare smile and the last remnants of Fall color. Arriving early, I make up a sign and stand on the front steps, Soaking up morning sunshine and the sounds of the city, Watching people and birds flock and weave.
We greet, meet, mill, and disperse, Clocks and agreements braced for the pull of ancient art. Somewhere in a buried corner of the basement I find it; The last payphone on the planet, Maybe it waits for Christmas, Or possibly the end of the Maya calendar - To vanish into the past. I make a bee-line to the paperweight collection, That beautiful room of glass baubles Truman Capote called "dream fragments. " Somewhere in the midst of the meditation of snapping photos of shiny flirtations with alternate reality, I realize... The watch is clock-ticking, And I haven't been here in eight years. I walk as the fly buzzes, Zig-zag, Up-down, In case my Muse needs more imagery to eat.
