I've been responding to a Tender for the first time in years and years. That must bring memories back to some of you.Working late. Stress. Knowing in your head what you want to say, and struggling to get it down in a 2 dimensional serial proposal. And why are large tenders always urgent and set just before Christmas? It also reminded me of University days.

Late night essays, large projects to write, many sleepless nights, turning to my colleagues and stating "Never Again" and bursting into laughter because we knew, "Always Again". I struggle to write for someone else, in a "business" language. In this weblog, I write for myself, whatever idea comes into my head, and it's so much easier.Interesting that my writing in the tender was starting to take on the language of a blog, with some exclamation marks as well!! I used MindManager to run the tender response.

On the whole it worked extremely well, and this was hardcore stuff with hundreds of sub-topics and not just a few pretty branches. Mixed bag. Some odds and sods: Talking to James last night, using Rebtel - he'd just set me up a local (Australian) number to ring him on, avoiding international call costs. He has a bit to say about it here. Anyway, during the conversation he called me out on something I mentioned in passing, and he said "blog it! " ... my next del.icio.us tag post will include my attempt to handball it to him, but I'm feeling guilty, so: Playing around (like I do with most things) with OpenID, I picked one up from MyOpenID. They have a featured site on the home page (currently it's Jyte - another thing to play with!) - when I signed up it was ClaimID. ClaimID gives me a way to tell the world that: by defining things "about me"/"by me" or otherwise.
