Columbia GSB. International Affairs and Business Dual Degree with SIPA. Like regular MBA students, dual degree students are required to complete all of the Business School core courses. SIPA cores are not accepted as a substitute; however, students are given the opportunity to exempt out of cores by passing an exemption exam. Passing an exemption exam does not reduce the 45 Business School credits required for the dual degree; it simply enables students to take additional electives. The Business School’s Core requirements are as follows: First Term Core Courses Second Term Core Courses *Statistics and Microeconomics will each meet for 90 minutes on three additional Fridays at the beginning of the first term.
**Appropriate scheduling of a debrief by the faculty and coaching for all MBA students, based on their 360 Self-Assessment feedback launched by the Leadership faculty during pre-term, will occur during two or three 90 minute sessions the first and second terms of the first year.
