In one such product innovation, a California-based start-up Rev has developed a line of self-cleaning socks that incorporate pure silver into the fibres. This allows the socks to remain odour-free and eliminate bacteria from causing skin irritation. Silver has been incorporated into the fibres by using Micron Tech which is similar to the technology used by NASA, US Special Forces and Olympic athletes.
