The Atlanta Woman’s Club had an upstairs room for dressing, which was very useful. Charlie, our best man, our officiant, our honor attendant, the hubby and I all waited there while our guests arrived.
I’m very much in love with this photo of Charlie in his bow tie! { Jessica Claire } I’m waiting to walk down the aisle in these shots. . { Michael Norwood } We lined the aisles with 18″ pillar candle holders, purchased from Michael’s. Detail of the ceremony arch. . { That Wife } The order in which we walked down was: Officiant, Best Man, Hubby, Charlie, Honor Attendant, then myself. I stopped halfway down the aisle to give Charlie a little kiss. :) This is a favorite photo for lots of reasons. Speaking of things I love… SUPER big thanks goes to Simply Cinematic for compiling this awesome video of Charlie for us.

Polite 'you're not invited to our wedding' wording. Vintage Blush receptions from Minted We are planning a small ceremony during the day with a limited number of guests. Later that evening, we will have a party/reception for everyone to come and celebrate whether they were at the ceremony or not. What is a polite way to word the invitations to the reception-only people so that they know that the ceremony was kept small so that no feelings are hurt? -Natty We did our wedding the same way: relatively intimate ceremony and dinner, and then wide open "Bring your friends! " As many of you know, WE'RE FRICKING GETTING MARRIED!
You can read more about how we did this in the book, but in terms of invitation wording … I wouldn't recommend doing it the way we did. Even if you're just trying to be nice, there's no need to talk about the part of the wedding they can't attend when inviting them to the part that they can. One very basic example would be something like this: More wording examples, from the comments: Placecards.jpg (JPEG Image, 1000x667 pixels) 1.jpg. 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 Square Envelopes - Grocery Bag Envelopes - ActionEnvelope.com.

Finally made something I've been wanting to for a couple years now. ...a giant pom pom garland. A couple years ago, Anthropologie had this amazing garland used in their display that I fell in love with. I checked it out each time I went to the store. I think it was up for over a year. Anyway, I wish it was still up, because I've forgotten exactly what it looked like. I wonder what Anthropologie does with all those old store props. Here are the materials I used: and another view just because I have to show someone who would understand it (ever thankful for you guys). You get it right? Creature Comforts: D.I.Y. It's fun, lovely, minimal and simple. One might even venture to attach the word elegant, but it's just such a humble creation it seems almost contradictory - after all, all you need is plain old white paper, scissors and a few dabs of white glue.
