CHALK IT UP. Photos: Kristin Ess, post designed by Kristin Ess Last week, we were shooting Lauren’s collection for Kohl’s and at the end of the day, we got our hands on some colorful soft chalks.

CHALK IT UP

How can a girl resist when there are pinks + purples involved?? Lauren’s pink cotton candy bun was pretty cute! As you may know, hair chalking has been around for a little while now and it’s a great way to temporarily add color to your locks. Above you see that chalk can create a very similar look to dye without commitment. Twist the hair as you chalk. Try doing 2 colors on one strand! The best part about chalking is styling it. How To Make Bubble Bath – Homemade Bubble Bath

Yesterday Brigette compiled a great list of ways to enjoy the day, and I’d like to add one more: take a bubble bath! It has been way too long since I’ve done just that, and I almost forgot how incredibly peaceful and relaxing it can be. I love putting on some mellow tunes and relaxing in the tub with a good book and cup of tea. I recently discovered that you can make your own bubble bath at home with just a few ingredients – get the recipe below!

{Spa Party} Sugar Hand Scrub Recipe

This recipe is for a simple, DIY Sugar Hand Scrub. This hand scrub idea comes from Jill’s Gardner’s Hand Scrub at One Good Thing by Jillee. It only includes two ingredients: sugar and liquid soap! This hand scrub will not only make your hands feel soft and smooth, it can help remove grime from your hands! This would also make a great Christmas gift! I used 4 ounce jelly jars, granulated sugar and Dial body wash.

Place 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon granulated sugar in the jar. Top with about 2 tablespoons of liquid soap. Slowly mix the sugar and soap together. The result is a grainy, shimmery mixture. Attach “hand scrub” labels with craft glue. Attach directions using craft glue. KITCHEN BEAUTICIAN. Photo credit: pauladeen.com post designed by lauren conrad It’s official.
