I first discovered the lotus card on folding trees and decided to give it a try.
I'm really pleased with the results. The lotus flower seems to come to life when you open the card. There are detailed directions with templates here, on how to make the card. Um sachte einzusteigen, habe ich mich zuerst an eine schöne selbst gebastelte Karte gewagt. Die Idee, die dahinter steckt, ist, den Empfänger mit passenden weihnachtlichen Gewürzen zu erfreuen.
Weihnachten ist für mich vor allem ein Fest für das Herz, aber auch für die Nase. Für meine festliche Umsetzung braucht ihr eine (Kartei)Karte, die ihr mit einem Gruß verseht. Ich bin ein ausgesprochen großer Füller-Fan, aber auch Gold- und Silberstifte verwende ich gerne für weihnachtliche Grüße. Die Karte steckt ihr anschließend einfach in einen Klarsichtumschlag. Zusätzlich kommt noch ein hübsches nostalgisches Glanzbild mit Engelsmotiv und ein Stück Klarsichtfolie mit Schneeflöckchen hinein.

Above is one of the cards I made. They're really easy to make, just head over to this tutorial and make the dolls. Then layer alternate sized paper onto a blank card and you're done. Wouldn't these Japanese dolls look pretty covering a Christmas tree?
