Newspaper Hut | Pepper Paints

http://pepperpaints.com/2008/05/13/newspaper-hut/ The theme for the Unplugged Project for this week is newspaper. I remembered seeing a structure made out of newspaper and saved the instructions for “some day”. Well today was that some day. I just so happened to have this past weeks newspapers and the paper leftover from the garage sale. Good thing because this project uses ALOT of newspapers. Also, you will need tape, a pencil, stapler, a sheet is optional.

(i still am not signed up for pinterest because i don't have time for one more thing but browsing is fun!) so we made one. i took a box of 64 crayons and took out the blacks and browns. i used another small box and doubled up on the good colors i liked and hot glued them to the top of our canvas. then we turned our blow dryer to hot on high.

you knew i was going to make one.

Seed Paper Tutorial | Gracious Rain

I first heard of seed paper–or hand made paper that has real flower seeds embedded in the pulp itself and is actually plantable–about a year ago while browsing through a stationary catalog. It was the coolest idea I’d ever seen–and so incredibly spring-y! Well, who knew that you could make this funky stuff all by yourself? And dang we had a good time! These would be just perfect to include with a birthday or Christmas card–don’t you think?
