Blumen basteln - leicht gemacht! Basteln - Blumen und Blüten machen. Recycled Crafts: Microwave Dinner Tray to Flower Pillbox Hat | C. One of my most treasured possessions is a hat collection I inherited from my grandmother. It’s not just any hat collection, but an incredible set of vintage hats from the 40′s and 50′s that I wish to god I could get away with wearing every day. Sadly, these hats, though beautiful, are completely impractical and not everyday wearing kinds of hats. In fact, I’ve only been able to wear one of them on only one occasion – to a wedding (and my husband looked at me a little cross-eyed before we left). As I ate lunch from the freezer last week, I was left with a little black plastic tray that I would normally toss in the trash.

Since it’s Earth Day this week, this is the first in a series of recycled crafts. What You Need to Make this Pillbox Hat Recycled Craft Here’s my rather simple materials list (not everything is pictured above) A black single serving microwave dinner tray (washed!) Supplies: Plain white printer paperGreen card or paperPunches - leaf, heart, 1/4" circle, stamenEmbossing mat (or similar spongy surface)SpongeMarkersTweezers, Needle tool (or darning needle), embossing ball toolSticklesPVA glue For each flower punch out four hearts, one 1/4" circle, and one stamen from the white paper, and one leaf from the green.

Put a small blob of pva glue on a scrap of paper, and touch the point of the heart to it to transfer a tiny bit of glue. Stick the four hearts to the circle as shown. Sponge colour onto the outer edge of the heart petals. Using the markers, colour the stamen shape as shown. Place the heart assembly face down on the embossing mat. Use the embossing tool in the same way to cup the stamen shape. Turn the flower upside down and put a tiny blob of pva in the centre. How to Make Paper Roses. Now that you've created your template, how do you make paper roses? Just follow the next step.

In order to save room on this page, I've created a slide-show on how to assemble your flower. Just follow the steps and pictures. Materials Colored paper of your choice Chenille stems (pipe cleaners) Glue Gun and glue sticks Floral tape or green masking tape Simply trace your pattern on the colored paper of your choice and cut it exactly the way you did for the template. Next, slide the cut design between a ruler and your thumb to curl the paper slightly. This is the fun part! Once you're done rolling up the whole flower, tuck the small tail around the stem and glue in place. Next, draw and cut some leaves, how many you do is up to you.

Finally, if you feel really creative, put all the paper roses in a paper cone to finish off the look. Happy Crafting! Make a Paper Flowers Valentine Bouquet. Here, we present the bouquet in a white plastic plant pot decorated simply with Valentine stickers and filled with candy hearts. However, a glass vase, ivy bowl or fluted wine glass might work better for the creation that you have in mind.
