Silhouette Giveaway Project No. 1 {Paper Cutting Luminary} I am having some fun exploring the Silhouette! I have always wanted a craft cutter, though I never really knew the full capabilities of what these little machines can actually do. I have never owned one and to be honest I thought ‘vinyl’ right away, but decided to start out with some paper cutting first. I am so excited about this Silhouette I just have to share how easy and quick this machine creates projects; It takes crafting to a whole new level! Even though I could have made a design using the software included, I thought I would browse through the online store for a digital download. Goodness let me tell you they have just about every thing imaginable! For those of you not familiar with digital cutters, {please tell me I’m not the only one} the process is easy peasy!

In a minute or so you have a perfectly cut out design. They are very easy to remove and pop right out leaving you with a beautiful design. It is even pretty in the dark! Spring Scrapbook Paper Tree. Hello fellow crafters! Tristin and I were invited to be today's featured guest blogger over at Everyday Mom Ideas! We were thrilled with this wonderful opportunity, and wanted to share with the readers over there one of our trees from the collection we're currently doing.

This second tree is very similar to the first one. I'm sorry! I promise, the next ones will be more diverse. But the materials used in this tree are very different and it is a lot easier to overall construct. (Since this is a guest post on a different blog, and the concept is similar to the first tree.. Thanks, Julia, for having us on your blog! Design*Sponge » Blog Archive » icff 2009: the british are coming (wallpaper) Recycled Paper-Cut Cloud Lamps by Jordy Fu. Paper is a marvelous material with a complex character – at times a vessel for banal documents and stale legalese, it is also capable of much more expressive forms with a bit of creativity. Case in point: these gorgeous recycled paper lamps recently released by Jordy Fu. Her cloud-sheathed creations break free from the two dimensional realm with dreamlike textures and elaborately layered wisps.

Evoking the precise paper-cuts of Rob Ryan and Nikki Mcclure, Fu’s designs are made with a distinct style that is all her own. Jordy Fu describes her Cloud Lamps as taking “a simple and sustainable approach to add magic and intimacy to domestic lighting.” Each delicate paper-cut expresses a different motif – one features angels shrouded in clouds and mist, while others elegantly remember long-faded flowers, or the rooftops of a magic world. True to their flexible medium, each lamp flat-packs to ship, and Jordy includes an energy-efficient soft white lightbulb. . + Jordy Fu Via Notcot.org. Good old paper cut$ Weng Wei @ Paper Restaurant | 不知道 i don't know. Isn’t it embarrassing when you get the date wrong for an opening? I went down to Paper Restaurant last night for my friends Weng Wei and Rania Ho’s evening of paper cut-outs and projections, only to find that it had happened the previous night. The paper cut-outs were still there, so I was able to get some idea of what the event was like. There’s a certain child-like fantasy about the piece that’s quite attractive.
