Drawing Still Life - How to Draw Still Life. In this lesson you will practice drawing complex shapes, in which you can easily recognize the basic shapes learned in previous lessons. Remember the composition and the proportions lessons. Build the objects, using your experience from previous lessons. Notice that the bowl, is actually a half-sphere, the middle jug is a combination of a sphere and cones, the right jug is a combination of cylinders. Notice the light and shade of the objects and also the shades on the table and the wall. Remember to always work in parallel on all objects. While drawing try to see not only the objects (the "positive"), but also the spaces around and between the objects (the "negative").
