Wyse independently partners with datacenter, networking and collaboration providers within its global partner ecosystem to help businesses move to a secure cloud – in a private, public, government or, even in a personal cloud. Wyse, which was founded in 1981, offers a number of products including cloud clients, cloud storage, mobility and virtualization software. Among these products is PocketCloud, which turns smartphones and tablets into virtual desktops by letting you control anything on your PC from a mobile device.

Vigilent Raises $6.7M From Accel For Intelligent Data Center Energy Management System. Vigilent, a company that provides intelligent energy management systems for data centers, telecommunications facilities and large buildings, has raised $6.7 million in investments led by Accel Partners.

The company also today announced that Ignition Partners’ John Connors has joined Opscode’s Board of Directors. This latest investment brings Opscode’s total funding to $33 million. Opscode provides companies the ability to develop fully automated server infrastructures that scale in the cloud or behind the firewall. Basically, the company’s offering allows developers and engineers to define what infrastructure they want to build and then manage these complex systems in a number of environments. Opscode’s software, Chef, is an open-source systems integration framework built specifically for automating the cloud.
