Nutella Hand Pies - Flaky, Chocolate Mini Pies. Today is one of those fun "Lets Lunch" group postings that I've been doing with some blogging friends across the world.
Each month we pick another food or theme, then we all post about it on the same day. It's our way of having lunch together no matter the time, distance or culture. At the bottom of this page, you will find a list of my buddies who are participating in today's lunch which is...PIES. You will not believe how many different ideas you will see and can click over to from this one place. Be sure to take a look, and if you want to join us next time, just let me know (or look for our info on twitter under #LetsLunch)
"Nutella" Pudding recipe from food52. Author Notes: Sometimes (actually pretty often) I eat Nutella out of the jar for breakfast.
I'll eat it in pretty much any form. I've seen recipes for Nutella panna cotta, but I generally like pudding better than panna cotta, so I thought I'd try to come up with a pudding recipe. After two recent failed attempts at Nutella fudge, I know that Nutella scorches easily and loses its taste when heated too much. So I thought I'd try with good bittersweet chocolate and hazelnuts instead -- a little more adult than Nutella, and less easy to scorch. (less)Author Notes: Sometimes (actually pretty often) I eat Nutella out of the jar for breakfast. Food52 Review: Arathi had us at Nutella. Nutella Trilogy part I: Bomboloni alla Nutella. A couple of weeks ago I had a late night conversation with two crazy (read = amazingly crazy) bloggers, Lora (Cake Duchess) and Ethan (Tastes Better with Friends).
The topic of conversation, as some of you know, was Nutella. Now, I’m Italian and I couldn’t care less for peanut butter, marshmallows or other American treats. But, please, don’t you ever ever ever mention Nutella to me…above all not at night! The craving kicks in and there is nothing I can do about it. Nothing but to prepare a master plan like this: a Nutella Trilogy. What is the Nutella Trilogy? I don’t think there are any words necessary to be added.
NOTES: You might remember that about a month ago I overcome my fear of frying with the October Daring Bakers Challenge. Also, I did use the recipe provided for the DB challenge but I did the filling part in the Italian way: after cutting out the dough disks I spooned some Nutella on half of them and covered them with the other half of the disks. Nutella Rice Krispie Treats. Aside from my family, there are two things in this world that I honestly don’t think I could live without.
At the very least, my quality of life would surely suffer without them. They are Nutella and Rice Krispie treats. Seriously. I have to keep the Nutella jar safely hidden away in my pantry where I can’t see it, or else it would quickly disappear, spoonful by spoonful. And, don’t even get me started on the Rice Krispie treats! So, imagine the allure of a Rice Krispie treat made with mounds of Nutella swirled in.
Now, I’m pretty sure that most of you already know how to make Rice Krispie treats. The first thing you need to do is melt some butter in a big pot. When the butter is melted, add a bunch of marshmallows and melt them too. After your marshmallows are all melted, take the pot off of the stove and add in the Nutella. Next, add the Rice Krispies… …And stir, stir, stir. Be still my heart! Press the mixture into a shallow pan and let it cool. Nutella Filled Pretzel Bites. The next month or two of work on Xanga 2.0 is going to be busy, so I wanted to share with everyone a roadmap of how we’re thinking about things!
We’re dividing the work on this project into four basic phases. Phase 1. Data migration As described here, we’ve imported over every account that we have on Xanga over to the new system so that anyone who could sign into Xanga can still sign into Xanga 2.0. (Try it here!) Finally and most important of all, we’ve imported over 2 million blogs from the old system. . * We’ve archived the blogs of the hundreds of thousands of blogs where the user has logged in in the past 5 years and has at least two subscribers. * We did an additional set of archives for 200k users who had logged in the past year and had at least 10 blogs. * We’ve also archived the blogs of every single user that’s ever been premium at any point in the past… And of course, a lot of you guys archived your own blogs using the old Xanga archive generator.
Phase 2. Phase 3.
