I like to get breakfast done and over with quickly so we can move onto the important issues of the day. One food my children like me to have on hand is Instant Oatmeal. Today’s post will be on how to make your own instant oatmeal and a cost comparison of making your own to buying the little packets of Quaker Instant Oatmeal. I store the instant oatmeal in one of those big ice cream tubs you get at the grocery store. Homemade Instant Oatmeal Mix1 - 18oz container quick cooking oats1/3 - cup dry powdered milk1/2 - cup packed brown sugar1 - 2 tsp cinnamon1 - cup raisins or dried fruits Mix all of the ingredients together and store in a airtight container.
