MANNEQUIN NIGHT: A fairy tale. Once upon a time, in downtown Midland, a group of imaginative Northwood University students created a storefront fairy tale vision for all to see.
A princess who slept on a pea and a prince on bended knee brought spectators from all around to see. The 33rd annual fairy-tale-themed Mannequin Night titled "When you wish upon Main Street" had students dressed liked popular fairy tale characters posing in storefront windows. But, these modernized 21st century characters would be more likely to be found in a Vogue magazine than in a popular children's book. "They add a little bit of fashion to it," Northwood University Fashion Marketing and Management senior Emily Hillert said.
